Day 5-Train Ride and The Doctor's Office-- TWICE

Tues. Morning we took a train from Arlington to Dallas. It was the first time either of the kids had been on a real train. They enjoyed it and when we got to Dallas we ate at a small restaurant that was right across from the Train Station. After lunch the kids went and played in a park across the street then we got some "dessert" from the train station vending machines and got back on the train to go home. Ty at this point was not feeling well at all. On Sunday night he coughed most of the night and Mon. and Tues. up to this point weren't any better. My mom and I had decided that we would take him to the Neighborhood Doctor if he wasn't better after naptime. He woke up with a fever, so off to the doctor we went. The doctor was so kind, she was from Tennessee, which meant she felt a connection with us when we said we were from Southaven, she loved sports memorabilia (it was everywhere in her office) and she was the founder of the Neighborhood Doctor. She told us he had an upper respiratory infection and sent us off with presciptions. We dropped them off had dinner, went to feed the ducks, then picked up the medications. When I gave Ty the meds he ended up throwing up (about the 4th time that week, the other 3 b/c of coughing!!) I called the doctor and she wanted him back in to give him a shot!! SO we took Ty back to the doctor and found out the reason he threw up was b/c I gave him the 2 meds at the same time (no one told me not to!!!). Ty was WONDERFUL during and after the shot and that set us on the road to health again. This day was not as stressful as day one--but definitely takes 2nd place!!!
