We celebrated Easter on Sat. this year since Jeff has to be at church early on Sun. We got up got our baskets, dyed our eggs and then went to the city wide egg hunt. There were tons of people, but let me tell you, they had TONS of eggs!!! There was also bounce houses, train rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo, along with free popcorn, water and cokes!! We had a fun morning.

Weekend After Spring Break!!
We got home from TX on Thurs. around 7pm after helping change a flat tire on one of the church vans. We dropped our luggage off at home and went straight over to the Sykes to have dinner and watch LOST with them (we are addicted!!). The next day, Fri., we cleaned house, went grocery shopping, and then our cousins, Auntie Julee and Uncle Ed came. We had such a blast playing all weekend!! They left to finish their spring break in Missouri on Sunday.
the 6th day-Six Flags with students, Pelf, and El Fenix
On the 6th day we went to 6 Flags with the Trinity Students and Emma and Ty got to ride rides with their daddy and Pelf (Brittany Pelfrey). We stayed there all afternoon and when we got home MiMi and PaPa took Emm and Ty to fly kites while I looked for a swimsuit--NO success.
They loved flying kites and you can see Emma's in the sky in the second one, but Ty's just mainly got tangled up! After kite flying we met the students and Jeff at El Fenix for dinner!
PS: no pics of 6 Flags this time b/c we forgot the camera!!!

Day 5-Train Ride and The Doctor's Office-- TWICE
Tues. Morning we took a train from Arlington to Dallas. It was the first time either of the kids had been on a real train. They enjoyed it and when we got to Dallas we ate at a small restaurant that was right across from the Train Station. After lunch the kids went and played in a park across the street then we got some "dessert" from the train station vending machines and got back on the train to go home. Ty at this point was not feeling well at all. On Sunday night he coughed most of the night and Mon. and Tues. up to this point weren't any better. My mom and I had decided that we would take him to the Neighborhood Doctor if he wasn't better after naptime. He woke up with a fever, so off to the doctor we went. The doctor was so kind, she was from Tennessee, which meant she felt a connection with us when we said we were from Southaven, she loved sports memorabilia (it was everywhere in her office) and she was the founder of the Neighborhood Doctor. She told us he had an upper respiratory infection and sent us off with presciptions. We dropped them off had dinner, went to feed the ducks, then picked up the medications. When I gave Ty the meds he ended up throwing up (about the 4th time that week, the other 3 b/c of coughing!!) I called the doctor and she wanted him back in to give him a shot!! SO we took Ty back to the doctor and found out the reason he threw up was b/c I gave him the 2 meds at the same time (no one told me not to!!!). Ty was WONDERFUL during and after the shot and that set us on the road to health again. This day was not as stressful as day one--but definitely takes 2nd place!!!
Day 4--Chuck E Cheese and The American Girl Cafe
Day 4 we split up boys and girls. PaPa and Ty went to Braum's to eat with Daddy and then to play games at chuck e cheese. The girls went to Dallas to the American Girl Boutique and Bistro. The boutique was HUGE. They had a doll salon, to fix the dolls hair and they had every doll they make plus outfits, furniture and accessories. Emma spent most of her time in the bitty baby area, b/c this is the kind of doll she has. She chose to get a bouncy seat for her baby, and Auntie Julee got her the beach set for her birthday. After we looked at everything downstairs we went upstairs to the bistro. We told them we were celebrating Emma's bday and they sang to her and brought her choc. ice cream. It was so girly and fun. They even had little chairs for the dolls to sit in. It was so fun.

Day 3 Six Flags with the COUSINS
Day 3 We slept in a little bit and the time changed so we skipped forward 1 hour, which helped us b/c Six Flags didn't open until 11am. We met Auntie Julee, Uncle Ed, and our cousins, Hayden, Mason, and Jacqueline out there. Ty rode the kiddie roller coaster for the first time and loved it. After he got off he wanted to ride all of the the BIG rides, but b/c of size we'll have to wait a year or two for that. We ended the day, everyone going back to MiMi and PaPa's to have Taco Bueno (YUM) for dinner. It was another FUN day!!!
Day 2 Chuck E Cheese, The Zoo and Aladdin
Day 2 started bright and early on Sat. morning. The kids got up around 7:30 and we ate breakfast and then headed over to Grami and Poppy's. We played at their house for a little bit, then went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Grandma Probst met us there and ate with us and watched while the kids played games. After lunch we made our way to the Ft. Worth Zoo, which is incredible, and everyone enjoyed it. The kids got to feed birds with birdseed popsicle sticks and had so much fun. All of the animals were out and we had a great time. When we got back to Papa and Mimi's we ate dinner and then went to Theatre Arlington for a kid production of Aladdin. Both kids sat and were mesmerized the whole time. Ty fell asleep on the way home and that ended our day 2.

SPRING BREAK Day by Day
Well, it all started on Friday March 7th, we let Emma skip school and headed on our way to Little Rock to catch our flight to Dallas. About an hour outside of LR it started snowing pretty hard. We didn't think it had been snowing too bad in LR so we thought our flight would still be ok (boy were we wrong). We got to the airport and it still said the flight was on time and so the kids and I checked in and said goodbye to Jeff. We got food by the gate and sat down to eat. First, they cancelled the flight next to us. Then, about 20 min later they cancelled our flight!!! It really doesn't sound that bad but inside I was STRESSED OUT. I was having to make decisions about where to go and what to do, and I had NO IDEA what to do. So after talking to my dad and Jeff numerous times, we decided my dad would drive to LR and pick us up then we would drive back to Dallas (actually Emma got on the phone and said 'PaPa come get...' and I grabbed the phone away from her and said don't listen to that. A few min. later he called and said,'I'm on my way'. Thankfully we have some friends in LR, so BJ and Kyle picked us up after being in the airport about 4 hours and took us to BJ and Jenny's house to stay for 2 more hours. My dad met us a little outside of LR and we drove to Dallas and got to MiMi and PaPa's about 11:30. WIPED OUT--or for Emma KEYED UP!! Through this all the kids were incredibly good and just had the most fun wherever they were. These are pics of Ty playing Bball in the airport. He and Emma playing "airport" in the airport and Both of them in the snow at BJ and Jenny's. WHEW --day one was long for me!!!

Grizzlies Game
Because Emma and I got to go to High School Musical on Broadway, we promised Ty, that Daddy would take him to a basketball game. So last week Ty got to go to a Memphis Grizzlies game. He had so much fun and brought home a grizzlies basketball, which he ended up sleeping with.
