Well I think I say this every year, but I can't believe our little baby girl is now a 2nd grader!! She is getting so grown up and this year she didn't even want me to walk her in the first day--to that I said, "Sorry, I'm walking you in and taking pictures of you by your desk until you are in Jr. High!!!" Her attitude about all that did change when we drove into the parking lot and saw EVERY parent walking their child in. She walked in great, we walked her to her classroom, took a pic, helped her get started, got hugs and left. No tears (from us, the parents--she's never cried going into school) When she got in the car after school she said she had a great day and that everything went good. She did tell me that 2nd grade teachers do not like to repeat themselves. I asked her how she knew this and she said--starting with "I wasn't talking, BUT my group got in trouble for talking--but it wasn't me mom" I'm not so sure about that, but I'm glad she knows she can't get away with it too much in 2nd grade!!
