Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving is the hardest holiday for us as we are here in Vancouver.  All of our family is celebrating and having time off and together and up here it's just a normal school/work day. SO, this year I decided it would be different. We kept the kids home from school, watched the parade, saw Frozen, and celebrated with friends for dinner. It was so fun and I'm so thankful we changed up our traditions this year!

Starting From Now

Well, I've done a TERRIBLE job at keeping this blog up!! So, I'm going to try again, and just start from now.  The past 2 years have been up and down with lots of learning, about lots of things, but mainly about myself and who I am, who I am not, and who I want to become.

Sports Day 2012

Sports Day 2012 was fun once again! I am keeping these posts short because I am a YEAR behind! We had a great time and Emma and Ty loved the competition!

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's Day 2012 was a GREAT day!:) I was treated to breakfast in bed and then was given sweet gifts too!

Easter 2012

Easter 2012, we started some new traditions! We had a community egg hunt, painted eggs together, played games and had fun! Then, the next day we had our church service.  It was once again a great Easter!

Activities!

In the winter/spring Emma was in Glee again, while Ty did hockey.  Both loved their events and had fun!

Trip to LA!!

At the end of February, beginning of March, we were asked to go to a missions conference an hour away from LA.  So we planned an impromptu trip to Disneyland/California Adventure.  My parents were able to meet us there and we had such a fun time! We were able to see so many incredible things in such a short time.  We saw the Rose Bowl, Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Disneyland, and California Adventure. These are just a few of the pics we took while we were there.

 We drove around all the places we wanted to see in the LA area and while we were in Hollywood they were doing the Oscars!!  It was so neat seeing them set it all up.

 Unfortunately, since it was February, it rained on us and was pretty chilly some of the time.

HOWEVER, that did not stop us!!!:)

Valentine's Day 2012

For Valentine's Day this year we did our annual heart shaped breakfast, fried chicken dinner, and treasure hunt for small goodies!  I made the hunt a little harder and outside of our apartment this year and the kids had such a great time.

Ty's Birthday Skiing!!

For Ty's Birthday this year he wanted to go skiing instead of have a party and presents.  So, in January(his birthday is in November) we were finally able to go! He had such a great time!!
